The Lodge: Sonneveldt Lodge is open on weekends May-October for inside/outside events and November-April inside events only. Our operating hours are weekends, 12:00 pm-11:00 pm, however for contracted events we can negotiate earlier hours based on how you plan to use the venue. You will find unique areas for all types of events. The main space,“The Lodge” is a beautiful 6200 sq. ft. timber frame building, where inside you will find rustic and gorgeous 30’ timber ceilings that will twinkle in the evening from the strings of lights or glow from the flicker of candles throughout the inside. To the east side of the room, there are doors that open to expand the room with a 40’x60’ lined tent, for inside/outside events. It may also be partitioned for more intimate uses such as wine-tasting, craft nights or cooking classes. There is room for inside seating for up to 175 guests depending on how you are using the space and inside/outside under the tent for up to 300 seated guests. There is a small catering kitchen to use for storing and to prepare food service for your event.
Boxcar Bar: Outside at the north end of the venue sits another secluded area with a small vineyard and a converted railcar. “The Boxcar”, Wine-Bar and Tap-House is tucked away beyond the rows of grapes through the inside of a long trellis covered in a 100-year old vine. ‘The Boxcar’ is a complete bar space with a large patio, lined with Edison bulbs, and off to the side of the box is an old tractor dressed up for your photo backdrops. There are cocktail tables with umbrellas for conversations amongst each other, so enjoy the fire bowls and take in the picturesque scenery. The Boxcar can be rented on its own for smaller events or added to your event. It gives you a great place to invite your guests for cocktail hour or host your rehearsal dinner.
The Cellar: Another gorgeous space for smaller gatherings. Off of the Boxcar is a beautiful 1200 sq. ft. wine cellar, perfect for intimate events, smaller weddings or cocktail hour before the party begins. A beautiful way to welcome your wedding guest.
Fire Pit: There is a large fire pit for your enjoyment to socialize with family and friends. A cozy ambiance while you warm by the fire!
For the Brides: there is the “Bridal Salon” inside the Lodge. It is a private area that closes off with your own private restroom, vanities, plenty of electrical outlets for a dozen ladies. A steamer, emergency kit and every necessity a bride and the bridal party will ever need is provided. You arrive, relax, sip and be pampered! The Bridal Salon is included with all wedding packages.
Cantina - For The Groom: At the south side of the property, the “Cantina” (La Cantina is winery in Italian) is a bachelors cabin just waiting for the groom and his crew. Take advantage of the inside bar fridge, BBQ for a lunch or snack. There’s plenty of lounge area to hang out while waiting for the big moment. Lawn games are available to rent. This cabin is included with all wedding packages.
Wedding Planner: All weddings are required to have a wedding planner. Sonneveldt Vineyard has an experienced day-of coordinator/planner for a fee of $1000. You may bring your own wedding planner, there is a $500 charge to do so. Please inquire for information on what the venue day of coordinator provides.
Catering: Catering is favored from a list of our preferred vendors, but you may also use outside catering on approval. No self catering for weddings or large events. The exception may be dessert.
Beverages: Wine is available for purchase from our Vineyard on availability but at this time is not required to use at your event. You may bring beer and wine of your choice. No hard alcohol may be served or consumed on premises with the exception of a signature drink, limited to cocktail hour service only. All alcohol must be served by a licensed bartender.
Tables & Chairs: Tables and chairs are provided. 25 8' wood tables, 6-5’ rectangular tables and 200 padded chairs. Set up will be done per your floor plan. If a flip of the chairs is necessary, the venue staff will assist with the move but you will need to have hired staff as well. Décor may be put out at beginning of rental time and must be removed before you leave in the evening. Receptions must end by 10:00 pm and clean up done by 11:00 pm.
Music: Music must end by 10:00. There are speakers for the ceremony so your Band or DJ will not need to have two set ups.
Rehearsal: Will be done two days prior for Friday and Saturday weddings and either Sunday morning or arranged on either the Wednesday or Thursday evening prior. Rehearsal is included in your fee for 1 hour.
Lighting / Decorations: Lighting for the dance floor and outdoor areas are provided. Embellishments galore-there is a décor package to fit every budget and every style. You can bring in your own or take advantage of the three packages we have.

Our engagement party was PERFECT! We had a great time and the view was spectacular. Though it was a rainy day it was still a magical time with family and friends.
